Location
The Shangri-La Hotel, Dubai is Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts' first venture in the United Arab Emirates and, since opening in July 2003, the hotel has set new standards in service, hospitality and value for money. The 200 metre tall, 43 storey hotel is situated on Sheikh Zayed Road close to Dubai's business centres and tourist attractions. The hotel is 15 minutes away from Dubai International Airport and five minutes from the World Trade Centre and Dubai Convention Centre.

301 luxuriously appointed guest rooms and suites with contemporary decor in warm earthy tones. All rooms have stunning city or sea views and rooms are of generous size from 45 sqm.

Shang Palace
The best of China is showcased in all its splendour at the Shangri-La’s signature restaurant Shang Palace offering fine Cantonese specialties, Chef’s recommendations and a dedicated dim sum menu that changes

Hoi An
The glory of old Vietnam with its French influences can be found in Hoi An. Enjoy authentic Vietnamese cuisine in an unforgettable, intimate ambiance of pale tangerine walls and turquoise green shutters. The Balcony Bar
The best of fine wines and spirits can be yours at The Balcony Bar, with décor reminiscent of old Shanghai. Marrakech
Take a step into contemporary Morocco when you dine at Marrackech. Enjoy the unforgettable atmosphere of a walled courtyard garden dining in arched alcoves. Mosaics, fountains and a collection of antique tagines (clay pots) are the backdrop to a truly unique gastronomic experience prepared by Chef Khadijah Manar and her culinary team, who present a menu inspired from time spent at the Royal Palaces in Fez and Rabat. Amwaj
With an Arabic name meaning “waves” and featuring a menu of locally inspired dishes as well as jet-fresh international seafood, Amwaj offers the most trendy and chic seafood experience in Dubai. Pool Bar
Swim up to the Pool Bar and enjoy generous servings of snacks, salads and savouries. Continental breakfast and an all day dining menu are available as you bask in the sun by the open air resort-style swimming pool. (Located on Level 4. Open daily from 09h00 to 22h00. Capacity: 36 pax)
Food Safety
Shangri-La takes great pride in their care for guests and offers a unique proprietary food safety management system which covers supplier standards, the cooking process, staff training and regular audits. This ensures the same stringent hygiene standards are followed in each hotel the group owns and manages.

The philosophy of the Spa has been applied in the development of Shangri-La’s own exclusive line of products and spa treatment techniques. The five elements, water, earth, fire, metal and wood harmonize with the positive Yang and negative Yin energy within the body. For balance to occur Yin and Yang must be in harmony.

The fundamentals of the Spa at Shangri-La are vitality, fitness and beauty. To support these, the Spa features a fully equipped gymnasium complete with personal trainer; separate ladies and gents spa facilities (including 9 treatment rooms); movement studio; Hair Salon and Barber; Juice Bar; Squash/Tennis Courts; free-form outdoor swimming pool and boutique where a range of spa accessories, signature skincare, body lotions and aromatic oils are available for sale.
‘Chi Balance’ comprising a unique blend of Asian techniques that embrace the Chinese flow of energy to ‘strengthen and rejuvenate’ or ‘calm and relax’ depending on individual needs. The massage style is personalized to suit the guest’s needs focusing on the Earth, Wood and Fire elements.
“We use a combination of techniques in the ‘Chi Balance’ massage including Acupressure, energizing massage for Yang stimulation and relaxing massage for Yin, combined with the use of pure oriental oils to harmonize energy flow.” says Aiyen.
Meridian Harmony is based on a traditional Asian massage style which is designed to open-up the meridian channels, releasing and facilitating the free flow of energy. This is ideal for those who are low in energy or feeling tired.
Aroma Vitality is designed to completely revitalize and re-energise the body, bringing together gentle Aromatherapy massage, Shiatsu and Reflexology with oriental aromatic essential oils.
The Body Scrub and a variety of other body therapies such as the Nature Wrap are available as well as purifying, balancing and radiance facial treatments.
