Le Pointe Aux Piments. Main restaurant overlooking the sea, open everyday. Breakfast: buffet style, from 7.30 a.m to 10 a.m. Lunch: "A la Carte" from noon to 3 pm. Dinner: International cuisine, "live cooking" and "table d'hote" from 7.30 p.m to 10 p.m. Seats: 100.

L'Océan. Seafood restaurant "à la Carte", open everyday except sunday. Seafood specialities. Dinner (on reservation): from 7.30 p.m to 10 p.m. Seats: 25.

La Sirène Bar. Main bar. Ideal to look at magnificent sunsets over the lagoon. Open everyday from 10 a.m till midnight.

Getting around

Buses reach almost every part of Mauritius. Metered taxis are also available and recognisable by their white registration plates with black figures. Bicycles can be hired in most resorts and is a pleasant way to get around locally. A car would be useful to explore the island.
